Devil's Punchbowl

Back to walking on Sunday mornings :) This week we were at Devil's Punchbowl at Hindhead. The weather behaved itself and we had a great time - talking, laughing and trying to avoid cyclists!

At one point we passed a plaque on the ground that informed us that the Hindhead tunnel was directly beneath our feet. They really have done a good job reclaiming the land since the tunnel was finished - you can see the route of the old A3 in the photo - the flat, vivid green strip in the background.
