The Dragon and the Flower

There was once a Dragon who, in the way of Dragons, collected gold and jewels which he kept in his cave to be polished and admired. But then the Dragon found a flower that was more beautiful than all of his gold and jewels. The flower's name was Rose and she was a Princess. The Dragon took Princess Rose back to his cave and admired her, leaving his gold and jewels dusty and unloved.
But, after a while, Princess Rose wilted and faded and so the Dragon dusted down his gold and jewels and went back to polishing and admiring them, leaving the flower in a dark corner of his cave.
