Serenissima

Driving into Oban on the A85 you turn a bend and the whole bay is laid out beneath you.

Dead ahead is the Lighthouse Pier where the Pharos or the Pole Star - the two tenders - are often moored. But today there was a vessel I had never seen before .

I had meetings to go to before leaving for Edinburgh but at lunch time I managed to snatch a moment on the North Pier in order to get a few pictures of what turned out to be the Serenissima, a small cruise ship which has a number of Scottish voyages planned in the coming weeks.
