Relic

"Relics of saint who inspired legend of Father Christmas leave Italy for first time in 1,000 years", say the headlines.  Well, the relics, or more specifically a 4-inch piece of rib belonging reportedly to Saint Nicholas, is now on display in the Church of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.  The queue to view the relic runs all the way down the river embankment; standing time can be about 8 hours or more at times.  This is not the first time that Moscow has hosted relics: we had a piece of someone's belt a few years ago and, earlier (if I remember correctly), we had some hair that thousands queued for hours to look at (I blipped another relics queue on 11 January 2014 - amazed to see it so far back in time).
