Manchester

A truly shocking and heartbreaking tragedy in Manchester last night. This is far too close to home - we live nearby, friends' 14 year old daughters were at the concert (thankfully they are safe), I was at a concert there last month and was due to go and see Take That there on Thursday.

Last night, immediately after the aftermath of the atrocity, the community came together to help all those injured and scared. Taxi drivers offering people free lifts home, people driving from their houses to the arena to offer food and water, hotels taking in scores of teenagers who couldn't reach their parents.

Manchester has such a wonderful eclectic community, and this attack on innocent people (children!) will only bring the community together, not divide it.

These worker bees can be found all over Manchester, and are a symbol of the city’s hard working past, specifically during the Industrial Revolution, and reflect today's hard working community.
