Swiss Chocolate River

La Gryonne is brown and over-flowing as it rained all last night and today. The problem is that the river starts in the mountains and has so much water flowing into it that the Gryonne has huge steps and walls built to contain it to prevent erosion on the plain. I had never seen it like this.It was riding high and sweeping away all in its path.
No kayaking today!
