Violence. I don't even know where to start.  What kind of philosophy sanctifies the slaughter of children at a pop concert?  I can't write in platitudes or comment in an articulate way about this latest expression of such unfathomable hatred. The rising bile of anger chokes me. I have no words.  So I surround myself in the energy and music of teenagers by watching the orchestra rehearsal for a couple of hours after school - knowing that for some in Manchester, life is now an empty stage.
