A Rose For Manchester

We planted this rose,( Golden Celebrations), a few years ago for our golden wedding anniversary.  It has been in bud for a week now, but the sun today has opened it, so couldn't resist blipping it.
Celebration does not seem the right mood at the moment, while those involved in the Manchester attack are suffering so badly.  However I decided to celebrate the resilience of the human spirit.  We plant flowers and trees in the knowledge that we ourselves may not be around to see them mature, it's our stake in the future.  I also celebrate the generosity of the human spirit, exemplified by the many who went to help strangers  in need on Monday night.
