Tenby Harbour

We had a delightful meal last night at the Griffin Inn in Dale. The specials menu featured freshly caught fish with Pembrokeshire potatoes and fresh green vegetables. We ate in the company of Canadians and a waitress from Virginia quite an experience with excellent food.

Today started misty as we drove to Tenby with a trip to Caldey Island planned. On the way was quite an adventure with a Tractor and portable wharf to negotiate as the tide was out. On arrival we were collected by an amphibious vehicle in order to reach the jetty. Jet was a little phased by his first time on board but this was overcome with a little encouragement.

Caldey Island was fantastic complete with a monastery, chocolate factory, lighthouse and fine views of the coast. The weather got better and better throughout the day.

This is Tenby Harbour with the converted old lighthouse appearing on Grand Designs. The new lighthouse and a building where Roald Dahl spent his Easter holidays as a child are all included in this blip.
