Big Leak

When we got home from Ohio at 12:15 AM on Sunday night/Monday morning, the carpet looked as if someone had poured a couple of buckets of water on it.  The hole in the above photo is directly below an upstairs bathroom where a toilet developed a crack in the water tank and apparently tried to continuously refill itself as the water seeped through the crack into and through the floor into the living area below as well as under the wall into a bedroom upstairs adjacent to the bathroom.  The extra photo is some of the equipment in the house that will run until Friday morning to dry and dehumidify the areas.  Inside the house sounds like living in an industrial plant.  After the drying out process, repairs can begin.  I was occupied by this process most of yesterday, and this morning the company that does the drying out (mitigation process) and then repairs had representatives here while the insurance adjuster was here.  Of course, the deductible is our responsibility.  We are taking it in stride, but it will be a several week process since things like repainting the entire ceiling over three rooms in this open floor  plan is part of the repair process.  Those activities have interfered with my comment time on Blip.
On a positive note, I was surprised today to get an email from Steve's Digicams (http://www.steves-digicams.com/photo-of-the-day/) saying my photo (which I submitted last year at this time) was chosen as the Photo-of-the-Day.  Bike Week is going on now, so maybe I can get a photo to post here later this week.
