Life through the lens...

Keeping Cool.

On a day when the temperature reached 30C,  the best part of our visit to RHS Harlow Carr this morning was the walk through the woods.
The trees were wearing their best new spring colours.
Many shades from lime, through to chocolate brown, dotted with splashes of colour from the late flowering rhododendrons.
So lovely and cool.  Not often we want that in England.
The other stars of today were the giant purple alliums, and the blue Himalayan poppies. ( meconopsis)
There were several parties of small children there today.
Although we do like the peace and quiet, it was good to hear all their excited little voices as they went looking for bugs among the wild meadow, and sat under the trees having a picnic.
It was difficult deciding which photo to choose for today's blip, but as it was the woods we enjoyed most that is the photo I chose.
I have put some more on extras. Including one of a car, which was to show people how they could have a parking space in the front garden without covering it all in tarmac, which is what my son's neighbour has done.

I hope you have been able to enjoy this beautiful day too.
