The real Bright Field

I was just heading out this evening, with thoughts on a talk on the Grand Canyon I was going to, when I was brought to earth by our very different landscape and the wonderful light on it. I managed to stop the car and take a quick shot before it disappeared.

The sun was just casting sunlight in patches on the field - it would have been a better illustration for the poem "The Bright Field" that I posted on SaturdayThe colours were as you see them, with the sunlit patches being almost orange - a reflection from the sky- just the colours of the photos we saw of the Bryce and the Grand Canyon
