Blooming Thursday

Hadn't even noticed these buds had opened, and I was going to wait until Flower Friday to photograph them, but they might have faded by tomorrow with this heat,  One on the left is a David Austin rose - one of 2 bought for my birthday a couple of years ago.  The other is a very old peony which blooms beautifully every year, but always just before heavy rain is forecast!  Hopefully it will survive the thunderstorms forecast for Saturday!
