Somehow managed to have my research paper published!
A lovely evening at the uni, catching up with colleagues of whom I haven't seen for a while. I was honoured to be joined by my work mum who has had such an impact upon my work.
I bumbled my way through a speech, having not expected to make one. Not sure I did myself justice, on reflection. Although, I was able to take the moment to express my gratitude! And cause a little embarrassment! Albeit a bit ad hoc.
Visited my real mum on the way home and gave her copy of the journal- she cried, as expected!
Li'l Sis' just curled up in my lap, exhausted after a very warm day at school!
