La dolce vita

Lunch in the garden. 35C. Improvised air conditioning: a bucket of water drip-fed from the water tank, occasionally sloshed over people's feet. Thirst quenched from a 10-litre box of rosé (now empty ...). Hunger satisfied with lots of salads and grilled swordfish. Our guests eventually left about 7 p.m.

We may have been a little fragile due to heat and excessive rosé consumption -- after getting home, I decided to lie down for a few minutes, and the next thing I knew it was 11 p.m and Mystère was complaining that he hadn't had any dinner! But we both felt surprisingly well this morning.
