You gotta love the clandestine operation of writing out the list of songs LM wants on his mp3 player.

This is very different than what I had to do to legitimately acquire the tunes I wanted. It involved buying THE WHOLE cassette or LP for this ONE SONG.

I make sure LM knows why I buy him the songs he wants, instead of looking for pirated versions online. The idea here, I tell him, is that the artists get paid every time someone buys their music. Good thing.

What I despise, is the murky practices of professional scientific publications, which charge for reading or downloading the literature in their journals, while the scientists/authors get zip.
