A day of contrasts

The morning dawned bright, sunny and warm. L and I took the bus along to St Monans where we met a friend for coffee and then walked along part of the Fife Coastal Path to Pittenweem.

The harbour is always a magnet for me. Being Saturday the fishing boats were securely moored and despite the lack of activity the resident heron was standing, still as a statue, on the quayside.

A bus journey back to Elie, a walk down the road and home before the rain started and the thunder started to roll. We are now enduring a very gloomy evening .... lights on and it's not yet eight o'clock. The weather forecasters got it right today!
