St Giles in the Field

In London to see our friend Martin playing the Cardinal in Webster's The Duchess of Malfi.

The play was performed in St Giles Church which is mentioned in many of Dickens' books. In his time the church was in the centre of some of the worst slums in London.

The play is a very difficult play to stage but the cast did a good job. As is the style of this era's plays most of the characters are killed by the end of the play.

We are sharing our train journey home with lots of happy Arsenal fans!
