Fledgling magpie

This small bird was cowering amongst the dead daffodils outside the house this morning. We knew there was a magpie nest in the tree above but I'm not sure if this one could fly or not.We left it alone and later it had disappeared so even tho' they are not my favourite birds,I hope it had flown off to a safer place.
