This NT property in Kent is a Manor House "14th century " , it has had several owners the last one being as American who decided the restoration would cost so much , after living there for 6/10 weeks a year before returning to Portland Maine USA . He eventually decided it should remain for the delight of the British public , thereby it was given to the NT. There has been a 10 million pound renovation in the past few years. It's a real delight to visit and it has a fascinating history. "A " and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon. Hope everyone will have a good bank holiday Monday.
