Fresh poppy

I love the papery crumpledness of freshly opened poppies.  No one told me when l bought these blousy pink poppies that they would probably revert to the rather garish scarlet red variety.. so whilst l like this pink one the majority of the plant and other 33 other blooms will be scarlet!!  The plant at the front which started out the dusky pink has also gone red and having tried to dig it out.. it has come back bigger and stronger and redder.. let it be a warning to other folk out there.. never trust a poppy to come true and if you dont want red in your border.. dont plant them because they are invasive!!  But they are beautiful !!
