Rhododendron Marcel Menard

Last year I treated myself to a new rhododendron Marcel Menard which I kept in a pot for several months then planted out in the early spring.  Although it has taken a bit longer to flower than more established roddies in the garden, its first bloom has been worth waiting for.  I particularly love the pink neon stamens and the splashes of gold against the purple.  Almost makes me forget how eye wateringly expensive it was....
