Orkney Folk Festival

Day two of our Road Trip took us to Orkney and the Folk Festival. This attracts musicians from all over the globe. This trio were one of our favourites, East Pointers. They came all the way from Ontario and were outstanding with their foot-stomping, toe-tapping tunes. We left the venue just buzzing from their energy. Who said folk music was old and stuffy?!!! They are playing a gig in Shrewsbury later in the summer, along with another act we enjoyed called 'The Young 'Uns' which we are thinking to attend. Thanks again Orkney for another great memory. If you have never been to Orkney, you should go, it's stunning (see extras). The 1.5hr ferry trip from Scrabster is great, easpecially if it goes through Scapa Flow.
