Memorial Day

This morning we attended the funeral of our neighbor Bill.  We have been lucky to have him and his wife as neighbors for over 30 years.  What an appropriate day for his funeral as he was a Korean War Vet who had served in the 34rd US Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), as a sentinel for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.   RIP dear friend.  
This is a view of our front door.  The white flowers are gardenias.  I have never seen them so beautiful and of course so fragrant.
