Ephemeral MonoMonday

MonoMonday 175 "Defining The Moment", ALT "Ephemeral"

lasting a very short time; short-lived; transitory:
the ephemeral joys of childhood.
Transitory, transient, fleeting, passing, momentary, brief, short, cursory, temporary, impermanent, short-term, fading, evanescent, fugitive, fly-by-night, fugacious....

Little Hugo playing Adam stretched out to his god, but it is not reciprocated. All I could see as I was getting ready this morning ( and I didn't have my glasses on) was that they were close. A rare and fleeting moment to be captured for sure!
Thought the picture would be nice in black and white and then of course its MonoMonday. Love the theme and researching it was interesting.

Defining The Moment with this poem:
“We have not long to love.
Light does not stay.
The tender things are those
we fold away.
Coarse fabrics are the ones
for common wear.
In silence I have watched you
comb your hair.
Intimate the silence,
dim and warm.
I could but did not, reach
to touch your arm.
I could, but do not, break
that which is still.
(Almost the faintest whisper
would be shrill.)
So moments pass as though
they wished to stay.
We have not long to love.
A night. A day....”
- Tennessee Williams

Please reach out Louis, you love him really.
