Barley track

During the last couple of days two combine harvesters have been busy cutting the barley in the fields beside the house. Yesterday we watched six buzzards flying above, presumably looking for little creatures that were being disturbed by the huge rotating cutting blades. Tractors have been continually taking trailer loads of barley back to the farm but obviously one trailer was overfull and so here can be seen a trail of barley which is providing a plentiful supply of food for the local birdlife.
