Ron and the Prosecco

Today's the day .......................... to open the bottle

This is my brother Ron and the prize that he won yesterday in the Mixed Open Greensome Stableford  Competition at the North Wales Golf Club in Llandudno.  He won it because he had the longest drive - at a particular hole - out of all the men playing that day.  So wasn't that good?!  I'm very proud of him.

Strictly speaking, of course, this picture was taken yesterday evening in the clubhouse just after he received it - but it's very relevant for today.  As I write this, we're just waiting for the two of them to arrive here at Kendal.  We left them this morning to go off and play their final game of golf of this trip - while we set off for home via a visit to Will's Aunt who lives on Anglesey.

We're looking forward to popping that cork and having a celebratory drink ............................!
