Vortex

Today we spent the morning at a reception hosted by our university Principle. It was on his estate which includes some lovely gardens. He has dotted around his garden some intriguing sculptures including this one which has some basis in science and is related to the black hole theory. As you can see, it is a vortex of water which doubles as a very nice garden sculpture. Some of my colleagues features in todays blip fascinated by the the flow of water which is encased in clear glass.
