Shooting the photographer

A last full day with Mum and Dad before they return to Kent and the weather was perfect. Dad is no longer comfortable driving the narrow lanes so was appreciative of my offer to drive to the Langdale Valley for the morning. At 86 he has decided to take up digital photography as a hobby to fill the time he no longer spends on the golf course. I am more than a little jealous that he has bought a better camera than mine! We started at Blea Tarn. After we found a bench/log for Mum to sit on we wandered down to the shore with the tripod and Dad enjoyed himself taking a number of shots from different locations and with different settings. I meanwhile amused myself shooting the photographer. We then dropped down to the Langdale Valley for a walk along the green lane followed by a cold drink at the Sticklebarn.

After lunch we popped the Dad's photos into Lightroom so he could review the results which were pretty good. My version of what Dad was talking is in extras.

Off to the l'Enclume brasserie (Rogan & Co) for dinner.
