Chichester Cross.

Went to Chichester today to pick up an Astronomers Telescope our Son in Law John bought from E-Bay. Lynsey our daughter is coming down to see us at the weekend for a few days, so she will take it home with her for John next week.
We also went into the City but had not realised it was Market Day, It was heaving with shoppers and tourists. Not surprised really as the weather was glorious.
Had a coffee at one of the many cafe's and watched a bit of the world go by!! I do enjoy a bit of people watching, it can be quite amusing! After which we made our way home again. Thoroughly enjoyable time out.

Here is a little information about the Cross in the shot above.

Chichester's Market Cross is reputedly the finest in Britain. It was given to the city in 1501 by Edward Story, bishop of Chichester from 1477 to 1503, as a place of shelter for those selling produce. Used as a market-place until the start of the nineteenth century when a more convenient market-house was constructed due to increased population.

Hope you are all well. Take care.
