Hornet

We've had a quiet day today not doing much at all other than fiddling about in the garden.. and then taking Margaret off to her volunteer job at Fulbourn Hospital.  She was interviewed for local radio describing her role as part of the chaplaincy team.

Our plum tree has been attached by aphids, the sort that make honeydew I think. There are lots of ladybirds enjoying a feast and several hornets joining in too...

They don't stay still very long so I was quite pleased to get this shot...
