David's chill out day

David promised himself a day chilling at the Point once his course finished so today was the day and what a fantastic day it was. We set off down the hill and bought some lunch from Cromarty Bakery, chicken curry pies, filled rolls and cakes, and walked down beside the golf course to the Point where we sat in the sunshine on the Fortrose side and ate our hot pies and drank tea.
We then went round to the Rosemarkie side where it was much warmer and sat on the grass watching the world go by. Lots and lots of people eagerly awaiting the dolphins. I love eaves dropping and many were up from England and had never seen them before. It was nt too long before I spotted a group in the distance who came closer and swam by. They returned later and  the young ' Charlie' dolphin surprised everyone with three great breaches. I've left the photographers arm in the photo so you can see how close they get.  A bit of hunting after this and lots of dolphins in the distance. The lighthouse looked fantastic with the thrift in full bloom unfortunately the chip in my camera seems to have packed up half way through the afternoon, the camera definitely took the photo and it showed to begin with but then came up with ' file can not be read' message. I've tried with a different chip when I got home and the camera seems fine.
We were hoping to catch the Shuttle bus back to Fortrose but it was nt running, looking for staff apparently, so it meant a long walk back up the hill to get home.
