Linlithgow

In with the commuter traffic and, after a short retail visit, out to Linlithgow to meet up with an old colleague.  We caught up and shared our views of the world while strolling around Linlithgow.  We were not the only ones to do so and we made every effort to wish folks a good day.  Sometimes, they got in first, sometimes they responded with their own good wishes, sometimes with a smile and sometimes with no response at all.  Oh well.

Based on the evidence of the day, I formed the view couples are more likely to hold hands when the weather is glorious.  Gerry thought that the chilly Scottish weather forced folk to put their hands in the pockets.  We considered whether there were differences in hand holding practices in different socio-economic groups.  Such is the conversation of retired gentlemen.
