Aftermath

This is a bit of a time travelling Blip - the main Blip is from today, the extra is from Tuesday.

As I was getting pelted with rain in Hamburg, Wiesbaden was hit by a storm.  It contained hailstones.  Some of these hailstones you can see in the extra (for scale they're next to a matchbox).  What you see here is the roof of our neighbour's gazebo (German for a gazebo - "ein Pavillon").

The hailstones were so huge, they ripped straight through the roof of the Pavillon (and it's good quality material).  I'm quite glad I wasn't in Wiesbaden for that, because you know that if I had been, I'd have been outside in a t-shirt....

Thursday and it was back to the office to see what had happened while I was away.  "Enough to make today interesting" was the answer.  Interesting enough that I didn't get a chance to do anything on my to do list, but I cleared my has-to-be-done-now list.

It is hot, there are more storms forecast for tomorrow and the weekend.  Let's see if der Pavillon makes it to Monday.
