Awesome experience.

I've had an amazing experience this last few days in the mountains, first with 40 friends in Snowdonia seeing some great bravery as everyone young and old challenged themselves and supported each other, and then on to the lakes to encourage Naomi with her attempt of the Bob Graham. She did well, not as well as she wanted, but still 95km, 38 mountains in 22 hours. It was impressive. What was also impressive was how so many rallied, for the love of mountains. I drew inspiration from many including Mrs Stevens (nee Bland who we met this week in the pub by chance) encouragement from many including her son William (presumably named after his famous uncle Billy Bland) who let us park over night in his driveway; T, C and little C+C who drove many hours and stayed up till 1am supporting, before driving through the night a long way home; stranger Adam who happily ran up onto the fell twice just to see how her torch was progressing, the lovely ladies from Keswick Krazy Kickers, who happily picked me up as a lonely hitch late at night; Ed, Pk and Trish with their strong runs in support. Just because "it is there". I love it!

Grateful to have breathed the mountain air and seen the sun rise on Blencathra, with my best mate; pictured here showing me the way.
