Balloons

No one seemed very sure of the weather, today. Not the apps, the cows in the fields, nor the chap at the end of the road with the bit of shrapnel in his leg. And even though the rain didn't come, the balloonists that the Minx encountered in town this morning were unsure of their plans to launch today. 

But in the evening, as we were eating our barbecued supper, having spent most of the day in the garden, they started to launch. One or two at first, and then a burgeoning stream of baubles, lifting off from behind the trees as though the rise concealed some bubble blowing giant.
