Rhododendron

A couple of times a week, we get up early, meet up with some very dear friends at a particular rendezvous point and spend an hour or so going for a good brisk walk. We inspect the progress on building sites, supervise the gardens .. oh .. and take a few pictures from time to time.

At this time of year the streets are lined with all manner of flowering shrubs and trees. Very often they glisten in the newly risen sun from copious quantities of dew. Except for the now infamous Hydora Lane, the railway level crossing, the tired old CBD and such, Blackheath is a truly beautiful place. Even this common strain of Rhododendron is beautiful.
