Afternoon tea

On Mothers' Day C had presented me with a voucher for afternoon tea at a venue in Glasgow, and we organised it for today.

It was very impressive, a three tier cake stand with a tier of sandwiches for me, and a tier for C, and on top a lovely selection of cakes.  Also when we finished the sandwiches, scones (two each) were brought for us, fresh from the oven, with butter and jam, lovely.  By the time we had eaten all of this, neither of us could manage more than one cake each, but no matter, they had doggie bags.  I asked the server if many people actually ate everything and she said most people had doggie bags to take home.

Accompanying our food, I had Earl Grey tea (I can't remember what C had) but we both had our individual teapots.  And we also had a teapot of Gin cocktail, which we sampled after the food.  Delightful.  We had the choice of three!

We left Virginia Court and walked to Barrowland, stopping off to photograph the street art on the way and also the bubble man in Argyle Street (extra photos).   We stopped for a cup of coffee before parting.

It was a lovely afternoon.  Thanks Four Story!!!!  (see link to Four Story's picture
