Berrington Hall

A friend and I stopped at Berrington Hall on route from Stroud to the West Midlands.  In some ways this was the perfect place to end the long weekend in Stroud - Croome Park on the way down , Croome being 'Capability' Brown's first large-scale commission, and Berrington Hall on the way back, which was 'Capability' Brown's last commission before his death.

Unfortunately we spent so long in the house and the walled garden that we didn't have time to explore much of the parkland - besides which, it started to rain.
