Pineapple fragrance

We popped out early this morning for a quick stroll along the beach.  On the way we passed a shrub that has attracted are attention last year and is now back in bloom.  Its flowers have a pineapple fragrance and are quite striking.   Its known as Cytisus Battandieri, the Pineapple broom tree.

The rest of the day was spent doing useful things on the computer, managing to finally replant the strawberry plants on the allotment almost dodging the rain.  A lot more rain than expected today, the soil is at last feeling damp.
