Yes, I have blipped this before. But it is one of my favourite plants and I think it is worth a second look.

It is the Tufted Horned Rampion. Its scientific name is Physoplexis comosa and its popular name is Devil's Claw.

It is the only species in its genus. It is native to the European Alps and is especially found in the Dolomites in the far north east of Italy.
