Tiny Peter Rabbit
I remembered that a friend was looking for a Peter Rabbit coin to add to her collection so kept this for her, but when she visited today she had it but is still looking for  this one.
Last year five special coins were issued to commemorate the 150th birthday of renowned children's author Beatrix Potter, who created Peter Rabbit and his famous friends.  Yesterday a coloured 50p coin featuring Jeremy Fisher was issued as part of the second series with two more due later in the year but unlike the previous 5 issued last year in the series it will not go into general circulation.   This coin shows the tiny Peter Rabbit who featured in six of Beatrix Potter tales as a mischievous bunny in a blue coat who loved to raid Mr. McGregor’s vegetable garden.  The other coins, which I have not seen, are of six of the other characters in the stories but I can keep this to add to my collection of coins now.  Personally I don't understand why the Mint issues coins which are not for general circulation but only for collectors.
