Fast flowing river

Took myself off to Ambleside this morning. After two days of incessant rain the Brathay was running fast and full. The blip was taken near the footbridge to Brathay church - it looks better viewed large. I think I might return to this spot in the autumn when the colours will add to the overall effect. Next stop was Waterhead and given that it was still relatively early it was not overrun with tourists. The swan in extras was wonderful. There were five signets hiding under her wings but one determined signet clambered up mum's back and tucked itself in on top. Completed the morning with a trip into the town for a coffee and flapjack.
