A new visitor

This juvenile greater spotted woodpecker dropped in for breakfast this morning and it's mum was very obliging.

A very windy walk through the woods with JJ this morning but there was lots to see. 

This afternoon I've been watching the tennis from Roland Garros and done a spot of gardening.  A baby robin hit the greenhouse and landed at my feet, so I picked it up and held it in my open hand where it quickly recovered, gave me quite a look and then flew off into the hedge.
