I inadvertently made an abstract this morning and had to post it as an entry for Abstract Thursday 102,  although it does not embody "hope", today's subject.

However, tidy gardeners will be hoping I cut off these deadheads (artichoke and hollyhock) soon.  Also I hope the artichokes which pop up each year here will do so again next year.  And I hope this entry squeezes in...
