GOTH am City!

Following two miserable days we took advantage of a better day and took the bus to Whitby, an enjoyable 45min journey through Robin Hoods Bay  and a small slice of the North Yorkshire Moors.

As with all seaside resorts, Whitby was a fishing village and has a busy harbour, however, we were walking along and a young boy behind us said to his Dad about the water "it's chocolate water" which it did look that way!   We were assailed by the smells, hotdogs ,burgers and onions, fish and chips, candyfloss, seafood etc.   All mingling together and only found at our British seasides!

I went up to the Abbey, Alan and Holly stayed behind as it is too much for her.   There were Rooks or Crows flying into the ruins bringing that sense of the dramatic to the place.   Whitby has been adopted by the Goth community as their own, holding Gothic weekends, hence my title!

In extras I liked the scene looking towards the Lighthouse, where it was very breezy.

We had a lovely day, enjoying a picnic mind the sunshine.
