My new little mate

George was not a rescue dog but to one side of that, he was a dog who had been rejected by his first "new owners" and returned to his parents and family.

We did a round trip of almost 2000 miles to NSW to get George, a German Spitz Klein, and bring him back to Adelaide. We are giving George a new home and a new life. He is giving us love and appreciation and a companion for life. We are the lucky ones.

Raj is taking it extremely well. He is a bit perplexed as to how Mishy of last week has morphed into a similar dog in size and colour, but smells and acts differently. And has a new name. I predict they will become great friends.

George is named in honour and in memory of our friend Jerry's dog George who passed away several months ago. Over the years I have blipped the original George a number of times. You can see the USA George here from September 2014.
