Watching the tide roll in

We are still in Poolewe.
We cycled along the peninsula to Cove . Right on the end are gun emplacements and look out posts, which were put in place during WW2 .
From Loch Ewe the Arctic convoys went off to Russia to take supplies. Many were lost and there is a memorial to the sailors who died, situated on the cliffs above the sea. It's  a beautiful peaceful remote spot now.
On the way back we stopped at this lovely little beach to eat our sandwiches .
Extra, lots of common spotted orchids around.
Extra extra. Sunset!
