Coldwater Creek

On the slopes of Mt.St. Helen's this creek runs out of Blue Lake. We watched Spotted Sandpipers at the lake and Dippers in this pristine creek, the bottom of which is ash from the volcano's eruption in 1983. A nice respite from the tensions in Portland.
