What a Way to Run a Railroad!

Well, that went well, Mrs May!

I went to the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh this afternoon to see what's going on. They're extending the engine shed at the moment and this loco was sitting there steaming away quietly.

This is locomotive 5542, a GWR 4575 Class 2-6-2T "small prairie" tank engine. It was built in 1928 and retired from service in December 1961.

I've added an extra of another small prairie pulling today's service out of the station. There are also a few more here if you'd like to see them.
